Roger Crosskey: Scrounger

Roger was born in 1949 in Birmingham. He attended a private mainstream residential school near Nottingham and then a mainstream residential grammar school in Kent, continuing on to university.

Here Roger talks about public attitudes towards disabled people.

I think it’s still – it’s still difficult. Being disabled is an expensive business and I don’t think there’s the – a lot of public attitudes are not at all helpful. And it’s sort of the sense of, if you’ve got a disability you’re some sort of scrounger.
